✔ Tests have confirmed that 12 percent of the spices produced in India contain pesticides that adversely affect health. The pesticide added to the spice increases the risk of cancer.
✔ Indian spices are exported to many countries of the world. Although it is famous all over the world, a report has been published that 12% of the spices produced are not edible according to the quality standards. The Food and Standard Authority of India (FSA) tested a total of 4054 samples being sold in the country.
✔ It has been said that 474 spices are unfit to eat according to the standards. The BCBS had tested this spice from May to July. After countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Nepal raised questions about the quality of Indian spices and banned Indian spices, testing of spices started in India.
✔ Various countries, including Nepal, Everest and M.D. H had banned spices. Last May, the Department of Food and Quality Control, after finding pesticide ethylene oxide in closed packets of two brands of spices in Nepal, Everest and M. D. The consumption, sale, distribution and import of H spice was banned.
